As long as meat is consumed, there will be a killing process.
I think Chinese cooking has been often misunderstood and under-represented. Not that foodTV cares to elaborate on the 8 traditional Chinese cuisines anyway, ie stir fry being the way of Cantonese cooking and braising/poaching the way of Northern China cooking. Lang Xiong (the actor in this clip) prepares mainly Northern China dishes.

This scene at the beginning is the reason why I bought the dvd... I just watch it over and over... it's kind of therapeutic. Then again, my dad is a restaurant chef and I grew up watching Martin Yan on PBS, so I have a bit of a cognitive bias, yeah?

This picture is great. My favorites are Scent of Green Papaya, Babete´s Feast and Eat, Drink, Man, Woman... After all, we are what we eat everyday! Will them be lauched in DVD too? In Brazil, I haven´found them in this format.
