BILL O'REILLY: On a similar subject, the Planned Parenthood fanatics want you and me to pay for everybody's birth control so they used John McCain to make that point.

Ok, listen up. Viagra is used to help a medical condition. That's why it's covered! Birth control is not a medical condition. It is a choice. Why should I or anybody else have to pay for other people's choices? Do I have to buy you dinner before you use the birth control? Give me and every other tax payer a break, Planned Parenthood.

A friend just brought up a MEDICAL condition for which she has been prescribed birth control -- which it is used for quite often. Also, pregnancy and preventing pregnancy are medical issues - we aren't baby machines, we're human beings.
A man can still have a full and happy life without erections -- more of a cosmetic condition than a medical condition. A woman could die or have series health problems from a pregnancy, however. O'Reilly is an idiot.

To be fair, Viagra *is* occasionally prescribed to raise blood pressure. Saaaaayyy... 5% of all Viagra prescriptions are for blood pressure unrelated to limp willies.
Of course, it would be extremely disingenuous to think that pregnancy is just a state of mind rather than a confirmable medical condition that affects a woman's overall health before, during, and for years after the actual period of gestation.
Oi indeed, Bill. Give US a fecking break.

The economics are too simple for Bill - the cost of pre-natal care, delivery, post-delivery and newborn care are a huge multiple of the cost of birth control. Viagra gets them hard, and that's all they care about - what happens to the woman after is irrelevant.
