Meh, six of one, half a dozen of the other. For their own songs they are best. I'd love to see Tarja rejoin Nightwish so she and Annette could duet. The old songs were written for a much more powerful voice, so Annete should stay away from them, but the newer music fits her better.

Tuomas Holopainen is the kind that divides and sows discord to rule over the mass. First, he used Tarja Turunen as a scapegoat to make his business/publicity and to hide his disrespectful and revengeful behaviour towards Tarja from the fans, and then he has thrown that Anette Olzon to the lions so that Tarja's fans can dump their frustrations and anger on her, and keep inflating the NW bubble... Tuomas Holopainen is just the kind that hides behind women to make safely some dirty things.

annette doesnt fit better for old songs.. it might be for new tracks, but not for old ones.. put annette singing nemo, wish i had an angel, dark chest of wonders... try to hear her in live.. meh.. tarja better :) I only talk about old tracks

Seeing all the discusions about who is better Tarja or Anette..Nightwish was one of the best hard rock bands ever in theyr own Gothik style,it still rocks with anette in the new way to sing and im more than sure that this band wont disband to soon even if they change more ppl.thats a thing we dont need to forget..the team spirit..thats what Nightwish is.not tarja or anette is nightwish.. Nigthwish is the desire of more that you feel listening to theyr songs and the wish of RocK! NW Forever!

I may be weird for this but I prefer Anette to Tarja, her voice is just a bit more lively, even if she is less skilled vocally than Tarja. Either way, Nightwish are pretty good.

At the very best, Tuomas Holopainen is a jealous and vengeful guy that needed to publicly besmirch Tarja Turunen and her husband... at the very worst, he's an opportunist and manipulative person that used all that story to get some free publicity for his band at Tarja's expense... but I wouldn't be surprised he's both of them.
