ok, since all my songs r macbook n not my pc, i have to do this on my mac. in ur description u say "with Mac just use garage band and select convert to ringtone." does that mean that u have to make a song, not use one from itunes, and make that garage band song into the ringtone? or is there a way to put a song from itunes on there?

Should be synced to iPhone: Settings/ Sounds / Ringtone / Custom. If it isnt there make sure the file is first AAC format and then renamed .m4r and the original AAC one on itunes is deleted.

Yea make sure its in the file on itunes called Ringtones and then go to your iphone and sync ringtones and it should be in there
