meh. Sometimes I'm more comfortable with Windows than Linux. I don't think we give enough credit to their engineers. Their managers are awful, and some of their strategies are ludicrous, but Linux is no Windows killer. I personally dual-boot XP and Ubuntu 8.04- and yes, I do want Windows Vista!!

I'm an avid linux user, but come on, vista *does* suck... I know a lot of windows users and they'ed agree.. sounds like you got vista pre-installed on your pc so you don't want to say anything bad against it. So did I actually, and it still blows. Let me explain :
When you use Linux (or any variant of it) you "UNDERSTAND" the effort required in order to make an Operating system like Windows. You then come to realise that so many decisions went wrong in the process of making it, that a complete multi-bilion economy has been built in order to make up for all the problems users encunter with Windows. Like the rest of us, im forced to use Windows. So Im very suprised to see people protecting something so very far from perfect...

people that say that either have a computer hardware that *sucks* or dont know what their talking about. im use fed 9, deb & ubuntu 64 but MAINLY vista for everyday things like games, videos, pron. if setup right vista can run for years uptime!! only downside requires reboots after security updates n 64bit has issues with paging it racks up quite quickly with virtualization with vmware n such. never used mac due to lack of hardware support but if i could be proven wrong then im glad to try os 10
