and your views are not biased? Firstly, there ARE minority govts that do work, parties come together in an effort to get bills passed. What govt do the ppl really have a say? Of course the legislature chooses, u cant referendum every bill. Besides if it is in regards to America, majority politics doesnt work for minority rights (i.e gay marriage in California); also they didnt consult the people to enter Iraq. Dont assume anything about me, and just b/c u live in Britain means nothing to me

the people have no say in choosing the chief executive and Canada's Conservative Party WILL have trouble working out because their ideals are different and they would have to get together with several smaller parties, which is unlikely. The majority in California voted against gay marriage (i disagree on that), and why would the govt consult people to enter war? That's not how the world works in marginal situations. Fact is, I thoroughly understand political structures better than you do

A testament to minority govt in Canada, Libs and Cons just had a deal in which taxes would not be raised in exchange for the Cons not putting a tougher youth crime act on the floor. The system works. These 2 parties constitute 50%+ of the voters here, and they worked together to avoid bringing down the govt again, so I guess ur argument is moot.

As a Canuck who has lived in Ontario, Quebec, Newfoundland and Saskatchewan, I found this delightful and hilarious. I grew up in Ontario near Detroit, Michigan and found it incredible how little people knew about Canada just across the border. Hey, Canada taught the USA and the rest of the world how to play hockey, and play it well. Also, DON CHERRY is one of ours. Blame Canada? Darn right! We can take it.
