Too bad that they talk of the electron as if it has a conscience. Peeking at the subatomic level can only be done with matter that weighs as much as the object peeked upon. Like throwing tennis balls at an incoming tennis ball to measure its speed. "Oh, it changed its behavior, straaange..."

sorry to disagree buddy but i love this whole movie. i would like to kno whats annoying about it though, the scientific research of how you can affect your reality?

How do we know it doesn't have one?
Well common sense ... ( 1 week ago by TTDeath)
Well common sense really. Of course we cannot say for sure that anything is anything, but most people would agree that there is an extremely low probability for the electron to have consciousness.

observation ... ( 1 week ago by phir3wallk3r)
observation disturbes the photon... you cannot observe any system without interfering with it. The photon doesn't decide anything, the observer collapses the wave function.
phir3wallk3r - ... ( 1 week ago by bollox93)
phir3wallk3r - You're just repeating what you've read in a book. "collapses the wave function" is a meaningless phrase to cover up the fact that scientists cannot make head nor tail out of quantum theory and it is, in fact, a load of cobblers that by sheer coincidence happens to agree with experiment..... so far.
the books were ... ( 1 week ago by greycloud24)
the books were based off of experiments. the experiments make predictable conclusions and this is why quantum physics is part of science. it makes predictions that can be independently verified. it is not a load of cobblers and if it were coincidence it would be like coincidently finding a ticket to every major lottery in america and they are all winners, and you do this every day for a week.
this is ... ( 1 week ago by greycloud24)
this is oversimplified bollox. go to wiki and study the copenhagen interpretation and wave function collapse. it probably will go way over your head. but the physics stick and they produce very very accurate results.
You see you've just ... ( 1 week ago by bollox93)
You see you've just shown your ignorance in those two comments. They do NOT produce accurate results. That's the whole point of QM. They produce the probablities of things happening.
I just used the " ... ( 1 week ago by phir3wallk3r)
I just used the "collapsed the WF" phrase to adhere to the lingo used here. The movie here is actually wrong, the electron does not change from particle to wave and back. It's always particle and the probability of finding it in a particular location is described by the wavefunction. If you locate the electron near one slit, you have showed this probability 100% (you detected it) and you start a new experiment from that point. Put a 2nd double slit and you get another interference pattern.
And of course I ... ( 1 week ago by phir3wallk3r)
And of course I repeat what I've read in a book. I didn't invent QM...
