Went to my first Bruins' game in January of 1967. They lost to the Red Wings, 5-3, and Bobby Orr stole the show with his slappers from the point. And they were wicked. At one point the Detroit goalie Roger Crozier just ducked on an Orr blast that went over him into the net.
Gordie Howe had two goals that game, one of them an empty-netter.
Been a B's fan all my life. I'm 53 and consider myself a blessed man to have watched Orr play the game. None better. The eyes do not deceive.
