Uploaded by: makemagazine
Video Description:
During World War II, GIs in the field built really amazing simple radios to listen too. correct, the radio frequencies the coil picks up will be re-emitted and then amplified. The intense radiation will induce electrical currents in your brain and cause it to fry... FATALITY radio wins!

The ground means that you have to connect the ground wire to any grounded metal such as electrical box or the round hole (the third hole) in the outlet, just be careful not to plug it in to the other ones you may get shocked. You can also stick a rod into the ground and connect the ground wire to it.

This is exactly the kind of plan I was looking for. Years ago I found plans in a real old boy scout manual that used the cardboard tube and cats whisker, but it used a galena crystal. I think it also used varnish coated wire and the varnish was removed from an arc that the tuning arm traveled.
