70% of points are from counter kicks.
Dumbasses if they were blocking they would spend all there time blocking kicks and have no way of getting points. You have to dodge and kick back.
Taekwondo is in the olympics because its a SPORT. Not two animals trying to kill one another.
The game takes so much strategy and thinking. You have to play the game not beat people up.

People on this thread need to learn how to spell and use proper grammar. A sentence is a group of words which contains a subject and typically a predicate. Doing tae kwon do is like running cross country. It's fucking hard.

There's several types of Taekwon-Do.
Olympic Style, which is more sporty and more entertaining to watch.
Most schools teach it for self-defense.
Some take it way back when and get deep into the philosophy of it, and Martial Arts in general.
The list goes on. There's no such thing as a correct way of doing Taekwon-Do... aside from the techniques of course.

For the first time, undoubtedly, in thousands of years of Korean history, WTF founded Suckskwondo and changed the Korean method of fighting and self-defense. It stresses on using the foot instead of the fists, using the tapping force instead of the penetrating power, using the WTF run-around moves to only engage in long-range fighting situation, and fighting with the hands down. WTF Suckskwondo has no practical aspects of fighting and self-defense. WTF? WTF is wrong with those WTF suckers?

Been there done that. No problemo. Even trained Tkd Larry Cureton who fought in early UFC twice , famous for his axe kicks and strong backkicks which I simply caught on my shouldrs or side and threw him. Had dozens of fights against tkd kickers - no problemo. In fact members of a tkd school going for their black belts came to my school to learn to fight for their black belt tests.
