haahhaha go canada , i remember , i fell on a broken glass and cut my hand deep , It took 5 mins for an ambulance too pick me up , 10 min to get to hospital (wasnt rushing cause it wasnt a emergency) 5 mins in line and 15 mins of surgery. cost = 0$

He said that Canada won not Cuba. I would look at the WHO's overall health care rankings which put Canada at 30th ahead of the US at 37th but the US ahead of Cuba at 39th.

Thank you, Michael, for opening our eyes. I have also been turned away for medical treatment (heart condition) because I have no insurance, or money.This is so wrong, & inhumane to put a price on human life. Please keep up the good work, we need u.

According to Michael Moore, Cuba won the competition but the network would not allow that, so they made Canada the winner. Ah, "freedom of speech!" Just look at the footage and it's obvious Cuba had the most difficult injury and took acre of it the fastest with no cost to the patient.

I agree... You can't really factor in speculation as to wether or not Cuba will be able to keep up its standards (I think Sicko demonstrates that it has) in the future... At the time, the Cuban hospital simply gave their paitent the best care, regardless of wether they could do the same five or ten years down the track...

Yeah, there's an interview with Moore conducted by Democracy Now's Amy Goodman where he explains how NBC first barred him for showing Cuba as the winner, then deceitfully edited Canada into 1st place before air time.
Clever idea.
I have to say though, its totally deceptive to say that Cubans pay nothing. They're nearly fully taxed, so they pay for their medical service before their paycheck arrives, not at the hospital.
Clever and probably stirs peoples' minds, but not honest.
