Now in sync: improved mp4 version of a video very popular even when it was out of sync! Rob Grill and The Grass Roots perform their catchy hit "Temptation Eyes" in an excellent Long Island, New York concert performed on 10/21/2006. Many people don't realize just how many hits they can sing along to are Grass Roots songs....and they are still making great live rock 'n' roll in the 21st century. Those Sixties and Seventies hits sound better than ever. The Grass Roots will be playing the Westbury Music Fair on Saturday October 20, 2007! Then they will play the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut on Saturday November 10, 2007. Catch them if you can and you'll catch a very pleasing show! I rather imagine IF he is impaired it has more to do with pain-killers. He had a titanium hip-replacement. Why is he still touring? 2 reasons I can think of. 1) we WANT to see him, 2)surgery ain't cheap. Last I heard, musicians don't have a health plan. And I understand - hope it's a rumor; he's had brain surgery!? Could be why he appears 'drunk'? Oh, I don't know... worry, fear, age? When we get on stage and make no mistakes, we can complain. How do we get them inducted into R&R HF?

I grew up listening to the Grass Roots. Live For Today was an anthem during the '60's. However, when I saw Rob at Westbury I also thought he was either drunk or stoned out of his mind. Now I understand that he's on pain medication due to his hip replacement surgery.

Pre-recorded music and backing vocals. All on DAT. I know, I have a copy of it.
Only the lead vocals are live. This band is a joke. So sad.

That was simply not the case. Rob has a good band behind him, it's a live performance, and the crowd, including this discerning fan, was very entertained.

Why, you are very welcome. I have memories of hearing this song on the sound system in the old roller rink in Pittsfield, Mass. when I spent Summers on Onota Lake; I was 10 or 11 years old when this song was on the radio and had a crush on an older girl who worked at the rink :-)

They rock-loved their songs as we heard them, the American Breed, the Crying Shames and such amazing music coming from Chicago (my hometown). Love to see them if they tour San Diego, CA.
They played this at our middle school dances or were they called 'sock hops?' Smiles along the years and miles:-)

Yes-I'm orig. from Chicago-was at the Kinetic Playgroud, what a trip! Loved the Aragon-for smaller venue bands, like J. Geils Band, the Uptown, etc. Did you go there too?
