If you havn't been to a properly organised LAN Party (i'm talking a big one, like the i-series events in England) then there's security, and most people would find it difficult to sneak one of them out of the building. Plus, most people who go to LAN are honest enough not to steal a PC.

How exactly is ... ( 3 weeks ago by JamaicaGold1)
How exactly is bringing a refrigerator and a PC together´s gonna help the windows platform? First class cooling itself doesn´t justify the fact that i´ll be running the most buggy, security flawed operating system of all times. And just how Energy Star friendly is the resulting build? Is it more expensive than the cheapest desktop macintosh computer? If it breaks, can I carry it to the nearest computer shop with two hands? If it leaks, can i get the plumber to fix it?

1. It's not a fridge, it's a heat-sinked, oil submerged internal system. The heat is dissipated due to the oil, which means it can safely run what would normally amount to far too high temperatures for a normal system.
2. There are ways to handle Windows. It's up to you as the user to figure it out yourself. (If you're not lazy, that is)
1. There are ... ( 2 weeks ago by thant0s)
1. There are significant differences between a fridge and a piece of oil-cooled, electronic hardware. I get paid to explain this to people, and I won't bother educating an imbecile who won't use it, for free. Google it.
2. By now if you can't handle a Windows OS enough to work around its flaws, then do yourself a favor and quit trying.
3. The coolant is a biodegradable, non-toxic, non-hazardous, and made from food-base synthetic oil. I'll cut the jargon and just say "It's safe.™"
Install osx on it. ... ( 2 weeks ago by soccrsnipe)
Install osx on it. OS has nothing to do with what this thing toots, which is awesome hardware and cooling capabilities. Most super computing solutions don't usually consider power consumption conservative routes... because that would only slow performance. Is the cheapest mac water cooled..? If it breaks I'm sure they have no problem fixing it but this is a little trip to excess why does everyone need to baw and moan whenever someone makes something cool and unique..

Don't waste time on people like
JamaicaGold1. The fact he thinks this is a refrigerator confirms people like him do not belong near Windows and should just go to Mac where at least they'll feel safe since the television commercials told them they would be.
His questions concerning the breakdown or maintenance of such an expensive computer are asked as if it only applies to this computer, and not anything else that cost in the thousands of $ (TV, bike, etc...).

too bad nvidia just pretty much put them out of business with a 8 teraflop GPU, no more need for a CPU! thus, no more need to go to these lengths to keep your PC cool.

OK, now reality:
The Watts going to a GPU is greater than the amount going to the CPU (especially when over-clocking). The more power an electronic component gets, the hotter it gets, the less reliable its performance is and the shorter its lifespan is. By keeping everything cool, the system not only can be pushed to run faster, the system can also be run more reliably for a much longer time to failure.
This is also true for new parallel-processing GPUs. We have plenty to keep us busy. ;-)
- Heat sinks spread ... ( 2 weeks ago by HardcoreCTO)
- Heat sinks spread heat and give more surface area for contact with the fluid they are completely submerged in to remove it.
- The RAM DIMMs are made by Samsung. They are the best quality and performance you can get.
- Memory modules are made for us by Virtium and they are also top quality. We mentioned that in the video.
- During one hour talk I mixed two video cards names together. Shall I point out the dozen typos in your three-line post?
- OMGROFL, V3NOMDAWG needs a hug - don't hate.
