I've had to wait up to nine months in Canada to see a respirologist (lung specialist) for a severe respiratory condition that I've had since birth and is not fully diagnosed yet. Over the years its become much worse and at this time I do not have a respirologist despite being on oxygen (O2) 24/7. My family and I have had a fight to get medical care since childhood. This is extremely frustrating. I concur with this film.

Micheal Moore movement is a BM. Flush it. In the UK a man had to wait 3 months to remove an ingrown toenail. WOW what great health care. A night mare.

This video points out one good point- A controlled health care system monopolized by the government simply does not work for the majority of citizens-e.g. the Canadian health care system is expensive, and does not serve all citizens, only the previleged and the rich. Free enterprise health care system encourages divisification in service, competative pricing and quality improvement of health care services for all. Support free market health care.

Hi Lizzie. If you have a moment, do me a favor. There is a video by a guy - sxephil - called "SiCKO Review (and a proposal)." Many of your Canadian brethren who have probably had little need for your health system are on that thread raving about it. Please let them know of your problems. Thank you and good luck to you.
Wonderful ... ( 1 year ago by nextdoornorth)
Wonderful info-mercial to promote private, for-profit healthcare in Canada. And terrific fear-mongering piece of propaganda to protect profiteering U.S. doctors and insurers.
Only thing missing was Ed Mcmahon.
The doctor in Kelowna seemed like a slug who likely didn't adequately convey the urgency of that woman's need. I'm guessing he'd love to be part of a private clinic there.
For every bad anecdote like that in Canada, there are a hundred in the U.S.

The growing movement towards socialized non-profit healthcare can expect increasing resistance and dis-information such as this video. There are literally billions of dollars behind it.
"Profiteering U.S. ... ( 1 year ago by Dreamer981)
"Profiteering U.S. doctors and insurers"? You must be joking. Politics are just another business, except it profits directly in creating problems, so they can campaign about them, and it loses its money like a crack addict. It is in the interest of "liberals" to push a single payer system because people will complain to them first to fix it, so they can be reelected.
The main problem ... ( 1 year ago by Dreamer981)
The main problem with the U.S. system is the entire concept of health insurance. There is a limited supply of healthcare and a near fixed price for people with health insurance. Variety in prices establishes a triage, but will create competition, keeping prices down. Malpractice insurance is another factor, but not the current issue discussed. In other words, the socialization of health care is the problem.

It is old people who are costing the health care system so much. After a certain age who cares if they live. Their needs far out weigh anything they can give back to the young who are supporting them.

so basically are u saying that the individuals who are featured here do not have a greivence against that canadian health care system. furthermore if individuals have the right to control over their bodies dont they also have responsibility for them? Doesnt freedom equal responsibity? Or are we as humans the property of the state? and if the canadian system works so well why does former PM of Canada Steven Harper not use it?
The Canadian system ... ( 9 months ago by newtonbrook)
The Canadian system is great, as long as you do not get sick. The only reason my father got a hospital bed was because my sister worked at St. Micheal's Hospital in Toronto, she had to pull ropes.
