Very true. The sad part is that given the musical backgrounds of its 2 founding members, the foundational creative/aesthetic direction they've chosen and the vocal range of Amy Lee Evanescence could have been unique, interesting, memorable - maybe even relevant. Unfortunately with trite lyrical themes and strong "Lite-Pop" overtones they are fated to join the likes of Staind and Hoobastank in the annals of 90s pop rock mediocrity. This lends a sort of irony to the bands name don't you think?
