Well, I think it does not have the manual gearbox and no clutch to save time, like it will shift faster (clearly advantage), but I hope that manual will be available since it is not as boring.

To have a choice between MT and AMT is to make the Evo more accessible to those who want one but are in the market for an automatic, either because their wives are nagging them to or they have a 1 hour plus commute. Its not about laziness. Its about keeping the Evo a profitable product so it will live to see Evo XX.

6-speed auto w/ ability to change gears w/ paddles. That will be the first one released. Soon after release they will also offer a 5-speed manual. The Motor Trend magazine w/ the orange mustang on the front which was out just before the chicago auto show has a big write up on it.

the front is similar to R34 Nissan and S60 Volvo (for optics) the rear is similar to Alpha Romeo 156. EVO X is beautifull

not necessarily. it takes more skill to operate a clutch and shift while running through the corners than to just tap a paddle. besides, has anyone tried parking something with straight paddle shifters? it's a bitch! always clicking neutral and reverse over and over again. it's not fun nor is it practical.

are you sure about what your talking about?
Lancer's paddle shifters are just high and low gear. There's also a stick shift for automatic use. So parking is a breeze, just like automatic. The paddle shifters are used for optional purposes, but you can drive normally with its automatic transmission.
What's the point of using more skill of having a clutch, when we can drive easly without it, just like videogames.

The Evo X will clearly belong to a upper class than the previous evos. It will probably have more luxurious interiours, new electronics and much more horse power! It would be nuts if they made a 'powered' version of the Evo X with an engine similar to the Pajero (Montero) Evo's V8...
