It's cute and an original idea. I got really into it when I played because you have to follow the beats. If you have a natural rhythm it's quite fun :}. It's more like a side little game to play on a rainy day than a full on video game..and I'd suggest it but I don't know you well enough to suggest it.

You have to play different rhymes to make them do different things. Playing "pata pata pata pon" makes them move forward while, where pon pon pata pon makes you attack. In the background music plays and the closer your beat blends with it the better. It sounds complicated but it really isn't, and the sounds sort of pull you in.
