I honestly feel it's his attempt at being "hip" to the younger people (though imho he doesn't have to do anything to be hip). Most music videos are like this now. I'm just glad he made one for it at all, though I'll admit I'm a bit disappointed in it in comparison to his other ones. He tends to tell stories in his videos as well as the songs....

The dark to light brown emotional stretch of tb were meant as a 1950's protest against the mundanity of German life....in essence, 'a '50's dada statement. In Australia, it's referred to a 'mogadon chic ' (mogadon is a leading sleeping tablet. The fact that audiences in the UK & Oz have taken to 'tb' adds further creedence to the dictum that no-one ever lost money by underestimating public taste.
