lol yeah but they gotta be alive, i've had a couple and unless the bug is alive and moving it will think its just a leaf and wont shut properly, like at first it will. the moving stimulates the hairs which shuts tighter. i fed mine a mosquito that was dead and i was wondering why it didnt shut fully, then i fed it a fly without a wing on it moving around and after awhile it enclosed tightly on it. just squash the fly a bit so its moving but not dead and use tweezers.

I live in England i once had a Venus Fly trap, i bought it from a stall in the middle of town.
If you get one, Do Not give it tap water, it needs rain water. Thats how i killed mine :(

Yeah, it's easy to overlook that, but then when you stop and notice, you're like "wow, how do they do that?" It's the same with almost any of these natuere shows. When you stop and think about it, the shots they get sometimes are ridiculous.

You'll be surprised at how ridiculous! How about maybe years to get what you want (with a lot of swearing and crying) and the people see maybe a few seconds on screen.

not exactly, each trap only eats one fly. Then it rots off and a new one grows. (course they have several traps on the go at once)

i used to stun them, if you clap your hands on the fly without your palms touching the shock in the air knocks the fly out. And 5 mins later it would regain consciousness inside a closed trap.

Yeah I had some carnivorous plants like these here. You could get them at Home Depot-they sell like hotcakes! Or you can go buy them on-line and ship it to your home. Most of the time they're clones though. You need to be in a Hot, Humid environment-just like in the carolinas. Use Sphagnum peat moss as soil they don't need ordinary planting dirt. My favorite is the Pitcher plant(It grew very BIG traps). Its very resistant unlike the honeydew-which was the hardest to maintain. Very delicate.
