Thanx for emphasizing the power of memes. Although i read Dawkins I had not heard of memes until I read a book titled The Evolving Self. It was such a mind expanding concept I could not believe I'd never heard of it. It is such a simple yet profound idea and I cannot believe more social scientists have not developed these ideas further. Perhaps it has something to do with Dawkins unpopularity in our culture of what I call Corruptology. This is our new religion and I can't wait to nailit toacross

It's not a magick book (per se) BUT there is one book I'd recommend to you - Manly P Hall's SECRET TEACHINGS OF ALL AGES. He wrote the book while in his mid-20's, just before the Great Depression. It has sections that talk about magick...and you can pick it up on AMazon for less than $25 - I suggest the readers edition by Tarcher-Penguin. It's more of a book about The Mysteries but you'll get a dose of magick too. I'm not talking about "pull the bunny out of the hat" stuff, it's BLACK MAGICK

ALSO, please check out some of the videos in my favorites - especially the episodes of CENTURY OF THE SELF (there are 3 different episodes)...also look through my other favorites & see if any of those other movies "float your boat"...I put those favorites together last week - except for 9-10 musci videos, they are ALL related to this kind of stuff.

TJ, I have just started reading a book called The Illuminati by Larry Burkett. The book was written in 1991 and the author is now deceased, 2003. This man is prophetic because this is a "novel" and fictional but he predicts the depression of 2010. This is 2008 and no one would argue the point that we are rapidly headed toward a depression. He is also predicting that the president will shut down the Congress by the Balanced Budget Amendment. spooky..Have you heard of this book or the author?

I'd like to say that there is no merit whatsoever in distancing yourself from the masses of media-controlled servile people and calling them 'sheep' while you follow without question a self-proclaimed messiah of 'truth', neither checking their claims nor reading their sources. Unless you understand this you merely become a part of a different flock of sheep - with a different doctrine yet still following and still obeying, no better or worse than those you previously renounced.

Knowing the truth keeps one from fearing the unknown. Even in our age of enlightenment, knowledge, internet, etc., it's still difficult for most to find it. So ... people get led like a lamb to slaughter ... with the rest that knew saying "I told you so". Collective thought always wins yet it's not always the right. :-( Thanks for your deep thoughts.

I heard from my instructor that there were a lot of good-year tire sales reps in Vietnam. I think you are totally right there are a lot of hidden history and meanings in every day words. Nice job, I think a lot of the keys to the answers are hidden in the root words where the meanings came from again nice job.
