TF2 - How to play the Scout

Finally here. After a tf2 update rendered all of my footage useless, I had to recap a lot of footage, and ended up with more than I could manage. Anyway, I couldn't fit everything into 10 minutes, so I had to split it up into two parts.

I'm just glad to get this out into the open so I can get working on other projects and free up disk space. It's somewhat rushed but I still hope you can learn something from it.

And yes, I know the quality is horrible. I tried uploading it 3 times with 3 different codecs. Go watch the stage6 version when it comes out. :)

Before TF2 came out, I just knew who would be my favorite class. Yes, the though of blazing past enemies and madly batting them in the face was one of pure bliss. I'm a pretty good scout, but damn I wish I was that good. I just plain suck with the pistol.

scout's probably my favourite class, best for 1v1 situations. Honestly, the only class i have trouble killing with a scout is an attacking medic with the healing gun. But picking out medics that are heal heavies are fairly simple.

First let me say great job editing! This is not only well done but the first TF2 class how-to I've seen that's full of good advice all-around and not limited to clueless pub servers.
Your technique against pyros is amazing, I usually avoid close-up frontal confrontations even when healthpacks are near because burn damage can be nasty if that healthpack you need isn't there.
For heavies I recommend 'mounting.' It does require you to STAY STILL when the heavy is mounted but usually works great.

this looks liek its played on generally low pop servers, in high pop serves theres sentries everywhere and large groups so you rarely get the chance to battle one on one with someone. good advice, but generally only useful for low populations

If by high pop servers you mean 32 player ones, then I don't see the problem, those servers are a total clusterfuck in my opinion.

true enough the scout shines in low pops where there are fewer people firing at him. but i play scout on 32. just have to know where the sentry guns are. also which way they are facing. i run passed them all the time :D
