they should change their name, if their going for a different style of music, like greenday have done. I could have liked this song if it wasnt done by the "SILVERCHAIR" name, which should be associated only to grunge/heavy music.

lol yeah - all good I know what you mean. You know, considering the song lyrics and the topic of transgender (transvestites incl), it doesn't surprise me at all, this new look of Daniels'.
Sure would also explain Daniels intricate/ornate thinking and style of writing if he were to be transgender.
And this album is so apart from their earlier works its almost a different entity.

I can't believe this is even a debate, the new Silverchair stuff is so much more creative and adventurous than frogstomp/freakshow. Which was generic grunge, I liked that stuff but grew out of it when I was about 17. You should admire that have the guts to risk alienating their fans in in pursuit of making music that is challenging and just as impressive.

LOL, I can't believe people are still talking about this song.
I love it too. In fact the whole album reminds me of bands like, Pink Floyd, Prince, Bowie all the entertainers that though songs were never enough to explain the story of an album.
This is truly art and it's bueaty is for the listener...if you don't like it, don't listen to it. I myself view this as I would a masterpiece painting.

yeah i remember when silverchair was a "generic grunge" band. that's when they were fun to listen to. they suck now really bad and there music is painful to listen too. If they wanted to make this kind of shit music they should have right off the bat instead of making alot of people love them the pull a 180. as far as i'm concerned silverchair is 2 different bands. a band i like and some other band that i can't even get through a whole song without puking.
