A man bearing a flag with the words: "F*CK THE GOVERNMENT" was given an order by the police to hand over his sign to them. The crowd was chanting "Defend the Constitution!" and "Give back the sign!" An interesting part of the march that thought was worth documenting.

The sign was removed at the request of the Revolution March organizers upon request of those attending the march. The organization who made that event possible was well within thier right to request such vulgarity be removed. There were children and young adults there, the events aim wasn't anarchy, but reform in the form of a PEACEFUL revolution.

Free speach is great, but so is the freedom to choose who u want to stand beside when fighting your cause. How 'bout they put their own march together and then carry whatever sign they want.

Abathey, thanks for your comments. I don't agree with a big F-you to government, and I certainly don't agree with anarchy. Neither of those will achieve anything for our cause. However, our views do differ here on who allows who to say what, where, when and how. Again, thanks for your comments and your insight.

Why didn't the organizers themselves then go to that person and have it removed? Symbolically, it doesn't look good that a man has a sign taken away during a protest march.

With free speech comes responsibility. If your vocabulary is so bad, just ask someone in the organization to help you put a clean sign together. One without a negative attitude. You should not be ashamed of a lack of vocabulary. But by the same token, you shouldn't be proud of being ignorant!

You had to be there to know the guy was yellig all sorts of profanities in front of little kids, disturbing the peace BLATENTLY. The cops took his flag.. told him to chill, than GAVE HIS FLAG BACK TO HIM.
After that, he came back a second time, doing the same, but the cops just ignored him... simply cause he was trying to cause a scene and get arrested. The parents were pissed at him.

I see. Could have been staged opposition to make your rally look bad. There are 25,000+ everyday people walking around that work for the gov. Especially if they were yelling and really making a scene it makes me think that it was deliberate.
