Time Lapse Road Trip in a Hybrid - Texas to Canada
Uploaded by: amillionfaces
Video Description:
We drove from Texas to Ontario, Canada on approximately three tanks of gas (Read: We stopped for fuel three times, but we did not drive it to empty each time and the last tank we barely used anything- so about 3.2 tanks all together.) I edited out minor stops like food and bathroom, but left in major ones like sleeping and fuel.
For those asking how many MPG we got- it was approximately 43-45 Which I know isn't THAT spectacular considering the new hybrids (and even just the new more efficient cars,) but it's amazingly good compared to the Ford we used to drive. We also did a lot of driving around the towns we stopped at for the night but didn't show this in the video- it's included in our gas consumption though, which would raise the average still.
This was an '03 civic automatic gasoline-electric hybrid.
