lol it is staged, cant you see it, the cmaera angel, faces theyre head front on, and ever look at the cougar behind at 0:25 suddenly a lake? a grizzly would be far more agressive and could have killed the cougar with one swipe.

Like others have said on this site, this is a staged video with a trained bear. Do you really think a 1000 lb. brown bear would be afraid of a 120 lb. cougar? If it needed or wanted to kill this cougar, it could do so quickly. Duh! It neither wanted to or needed to. Brown bears as well as Polar bears are the dominant land animal in North America and are totally unbeatable. Agin, duh!

The bear had nothing to fight for. Because bears eat other things other than meat they are not as aggressive in those situations as say an african lion who instintively wants to kill every carnivore who competes with him for food.

Totally, it's because I live near the summit of Mount Hood here in the gorgeous stoner/redneck state of Oregon. Yeah, we're a bunch of pothead logging dudes and psycho tweaker ladies in Portland that kill their own children, lol. That's why I live on the beautiful mountain with the good folk. I have seen, been scrathed by (not hard thank god), petted, and smelled the breath of cougars, polecats, bobcats, and lynxes. I've also been chased by bears. Run downhill, dude!
