Horst Jankowski "A Walk In The Black Forest" (1965)

Video Description:
Horst Jankowski's 1965 million seller instrumental "A Walk In The Black forest". Written and arranged by Jankowski and performed by his orchestra. There are numerous versions of this song, but the original is always the best and this is it! The song sounds way better if you hear the stereo LP in person.
I loved this tune ever since I first heard it on the radio, on WAIT AM 850 in Chicago back in the mid 90's. Sadly, I havn't heard this tune on the air in over 10 years. I'm still waiting for the day someone can find and post Jankowski and his orchestra performing this tune on the late night show with Johnny Carson which I believe was aired in June of 1965. This was written on the back of one of Jankowski's albums in 1966. The ovation was so great that Carson was quoted as saying "Ive never seen such an incredible perfomance that brought the house down like we just saw here tonight".

I am curious to know what you think about the stylus contribution to the top end of the frequency spectrum. Is it desirable to let the stylus leak into (and contribute to) the overall sound or should this be covered while playing, so that the sound is as close to the recorded signal as possible? It seems that there may be less leakage from the RCA Victor stylus than usual, is this correct?

LOL, now for more oldies to fill my oldie file up.
Good on you btw.
From Wikipedia:
"In a move similar to The Match Game, Reach for the Stars looked to the popular music charts of the day for its theme, which was the Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass version of Horst Jankowski's A Walk in The Black Forest. The song had been released two years before on the Going Places album."
Thanks
