do you believe the pricipal that good boys deserve favour if so the opposite also existes and the predesessors to the native indians also fitted in to this catagory so when 150 million bad people came upon the 59 million bad people the lord could not protect evil from evil that was mans doing so he could not show favour to either races to be just. but look for the good not the bad past they have been humbled and now would not hurt a fly as you say but they were not always that way.

I Live In Fort McMurray, Alberta. There are a lot of drunk homeless and jobless natives there who give you dirty looks and hustle you for change. A lot the time they are passed out in front of the liquor store. It's not a good thing when young children see that kind of stuff. It's A Disgrace.

cleavage, go and read something about the trail of tears, about sand creek, about wounded knee and about the "Educational"system in the 20th century, when children of natives were taken away from their families by force, to be "educated as white men", without any respect for their language, their culture, their believes. The kids were flagged if they spoke a single word of their language - and this in the 1970ies... wouldn't you get drunk as well? No hope, no future, no family -just sadness

this is Floyd Red Crow Westerman, I think. One of those who had to live in off-reservation elementary school where he was forced to cut his hair and forbidden to speak his native language. He died nearly a year ago of leucemia.

I went to the cherokee reservation in the Smokies once, some 20 Years ago. I was really sad because it looked so forlorn, so ... empty. But then I went into their little museum, where they tell the history of the trail of tears - and I understood, I think. today, it seems, they are much better there as well. The Navajo say: all evil in us human beings is a result of disharmony, of our soul, if you want, being out of balance. Seems like this is what you see down there...

So You people are saying that because "the white man", who is not me or my family or anyone i know for that fact, took their rights and their lands that it is ok to be drunk, abusive, and dirty criminals? hey, don't twist my words... I never said YOU are to blame for what "the white man" did 100 years ago. I just tried to show you what happened to them during the last 200 years up to now. It didn't stop 100 years ago, did it? what about the kids in the 1970s taken out of their families by force and sent into schools of strangers, where they were not aloud to speak their own language or see their parents? Do the reservations still exist or not? What is going on our days? How about trying to help?

in case you are really interested: I liked the books of john and Archie Lame Deer; "Lakota Woman" of Mary Crow Dog. And: Wokini, by Billie Mills and Nicholas Sparks. Maybe they tell you something about those who seem to be pretty lost in your town. And: about those who fought the devil alcohol with more success... it's worth it...

You and so many, many more.. Hollywood is another sin against humanity, concerning the Natives. So many years they twisted the truth into the opposite: the natives were bloodthirsty and the white the poor victims. I think, the first film that shows a glimps into the other direction was an old Elvis Presley film "Flaming Star". But they never bothered to find out the truth - up to the eighties, I think.
