the acting of trips dad and is boyfriend in the advice scene is poor. it reads very different in the book. although euginides present the same content, it has tone that makes it feel like unbelievably good advice: euginides writes "the silent but unerring language of eye contact" but the actor or whatever reduces the lines and speaks shyly. ya sorry if i just bored you to death but check out the book itll make you obsessed

1. Cecilia committed suicide.
2. Suicide is often caused by mental illness.
3. Hence, Cecilia was mentally ill.
4. Hence, if Cecilia had lived, her mental illness would have eventually escalated to insanity.
The mother thinks the other girls have a "bright future" because she thinks they are not mentally ill so they can have a good life.

Yep, it is. Its called "The Virgin Suicides" and its directed by Sofia Coppola. Its a beautiful film.
