With the way they reviewed it, they could have just as well have said that Halo 3 was a piece of shit, as well as FEAR, and pretty much any other game.
I'm sort of doubting that they even played the game...
We did play STALKER, and we thought it was ass, hence our review. It might have been good about four years ago, but it's definitely behind the times for current games.
Shut the fuck up. You're on the internet. Nobody cares but you.
Stalker though... I can see why it attracts the drama. It's a lot like Resident Evil 1 -- you had (have :D) people who hated it for not being something else, and people who loved it for what it was.
It's an adventure game, in the sense that text-based games that required imagination were. Some company wanted to make a game about an obscure Russian sf story and/or Tarkovsky movie, and they did.
So if people dig the setting - they get into it. If not - then not.
