what do the nazi's have to do with it? they were found guilty of war crimes, not of being unhappy about where they were fighting. my point is that you don't have the right to dictate foreign policy just because you're in the forces. in fact, you're duty is to not question your CIC, and fight where he deems necessary. naziism and war crimes, what does that have to do with it? please tell me what your idea of signing up is, because i think i'm right on the ball, here. you sign to fight, period.

what point? war crimes and fighting for your country are two different things. squiggelsy brings nazis in to cloud the issue. when you're in the forces, you don't get to choose where you will fight. your president makes that decision, and you carry out his orders to fight. you don't whine and complain until you get a war you can "feel happy" about, as squigglesy seems to suggest. again, to make it clear, you sign up to fight and kill; where your soul ends up don't enter into it.

this is how the nazis come into it: the nazi soldiers were under orders to kill civilians, e.g. jews, slavs, communists, artists etc. were the nazi soldiers actions acceptable because they were ordered to commit them? the nuremburg trials said not. in the same way, soldiers in iraq and afghanistan cannot use 'orders' as an excuse for continuing a pointless war.
