I knew a fellow that worked the sound on Very Bad Things and he said that Slater was the nicest famous personality that he had ever worked with. It's rare to run into actors that treat everyone on the set as an equal, apparently Slater was so down to earth that when he found out that the "techies" had a weekly poker game he asked for an invite and brought the beer.

I wonder if the drugs have anything to do with the likability of these individuals? I've also heard really nice things about Robert Downey Jr. and Britney Spears, while both were in the thick of their alleged substance abuse issues, perhaps the foreign substances help break down their inhibitions and let them relate to people easier.
