yes revolution would be nice.. with as little U.S military firce as possible, but your ignoring the fact that by your method if there are no revolutions then democracy cant spread. When you have a tyrannical government that causes the people to fear them then revolutions are put down. Throughout history there are tons of failed revolutions for example the bay of pigs. Even our our revolution was aided heavily by the military presence of the french specifically the french fleet led by Rochambea.

What about the Portuguese Revolution of 1974? Where the Portuguese Dictatorship (that ruled for decades) was effectively taken out in a bloodless coup. It is possible to gain Democracy in dictatorships without using force, it's just hard as hell.
