@lilvin69 Probably not. But most kids do not need to know simple physics, chemistry or history. Really most of what we learn in school we do not need. I personally believe that it is better to know than not know. As an engineer I need to know science, but my girlfriend does not as an art teacher. Really, there is a lot that we do not NEED to know, but it is better to know. Mathimatics, why should I know how to calculate the cost of the things I am buying? Surely the seller is honest.

The reason why it IS important to teach physics, chemistry, history, etc to kids is not because every single one of them is going to need to know it, but it is taught to them in hopes that they will find interest in those subjects. It is important that children be presented to these subjects at some point in their lives. If they arnt, then who is going to grow up to be the next leading Physicist or Chemist? The US needs these types of people. Teaching them these subjects is how we get those ppl.

Usually based on long disproved science. Which because of the lack of good evidence for Darwinism, still makes it's way into the text books. I'd say it's funny. But it's to darn sad. (peppered moths, embryology, faked transitional forms, conflicting genetic heritage ( Mendel-ism)with macro-evolution, unclear definitions of common words,
Obscufacation of the facts, etc. etc. etc. "

"lack of good evidence for Darwinism" - sorry, but we ascribe to modern evolutionary synthesis not 'Darwinism'.
"peppered moths" - remain evidence of evolution they have never been debunked.
"embryology" - is a legitimate science
"faked transitional forms' - ARE NOT IN THE TEXTBOOKS however valid ones are.
"Mendelism" - was reconciled with evolutionary synthesis in the 1920's!!!!

i can only assume that your reference to embryology being wrong is an indirect reference to Heckels embryos which were an example of fraud, something you might not be familiar with however is WHY they were fraud. they OVEREMPHASIZED the similarities, but to say that there are no similarities there is an outright lie.

Some one with some scientific credential may lead the team. To give the appearance of credibility.
