I can't vote for ... ( 1 year ago by digestezine)
I can't vote for romney because he believes Samoans are really Hebrews and that god changed their skin color because of sin, (I am not kidding )romney has no credibility
He dismisses this ... ( 11 months ago by youcos)
He dismisses this as "13 year old history", but I was here in Massachusetts when he ran for Governor in 2002 and he ran on his socially liberal message, the same as what he had in 1994. He ran as pro gay rights, pro choice, etc. It was only after he got into office that he flipped on all these things; if we'd known during the campaign how he was planning to govern, he would not have been elected. It's not exactly the ancient history he claims it is. He's just dishonest about everything.
You have to realize ... ( 11 months ago by gzmkt)
You have to realize these weren't his ~personal~ beliefs, he was representing his constituency. The people of Mass. have very different standard and beliefs than the general population of America. So of course his platform will be a little different in a run to be President than it would be for governor. That is how politics is ~supposed~ to work. We don't want Mitt to become President so he can reshape America in his image, we want Mitt to be President and ~represent~ Americans.
Mormonism is a myth ... ( 11 months ago by EpionFTW)
Mormonism is a myth, but so is Christianity and every other candidate is a Christian. So you'd discriminate against a perfectly good candidate based on their personal belief? Pathetic...
Mitt Romney as ... ( 11 months ago by EpionFTW)
Mitt Romney as governor... Good job or bad job? Disregarding his social issues (abortion, gays) because neither I nor most of America cares about petty stuff like that, did he effectively lead Massachusetts?
No, he made himself ... ( 11 months ago by youcos)
No, he made himself into something of a joke here by basically starting to run for president almost as soon as he got into office. He was spending a lot of his time speaking to conservative groups in other states, bashing Massachusetts, instead of here doing his job.

When he was here, ... ( 11 months ago by youcos)
When he was here, he did things directly contradicting what he seemed to be when he ran for office. He ran pro-choice, for example, but then vetoed a very popular bill to give women access to emergency contraception (his veto was unanimously overridden by the legislature).

He ran as a good ... ( 11 months ago by youcos)
He ran as a good manager, fiscally prudent and able to keep the machinery of government working well, but failed to oversee the big dig and allowed financial scandals *and* shoddy work to continue during his term.
He left us with a ... ( 11 months ago by youcos)
He left us with a budget that he claimed was in surplus, until the next governor took office and discovered in the first few weeks that we actually had a big shortfall that we could've planned for if only Romney had been honest about the state's finances, rather than playing games to boost his record for his presidential run.

This Loser just won Michigan. WHY? He is a very big liar. Too OBVIOUS, just like bush.

yeah, if you can believe samoans are really hebrew and that god changed their skin color from white to brown, you will belive anything

YouTube "requiem for an empire (ron paul) and LISTEN to the only CONSISTENT, CONSERVATIVE voice among Republican candidates. Don't let the media influence your vote.
I didn't like you ... ( 11 months ago by jonbmaher)
I didn't like you from your fake accent and fake persona presented in the '07 - '08 debates. However, after watching this video, even if it's from over a decade ago, "I've led the fight to preserve traditional marriage. I've taken every legal step I can conceive of to prevent same-sex marriage." Your are a bigot on the wrong side of history and that will be your legacy. However, I wonder if the other republican candidates much better.
Dear Republican ... ( 11 months ago by SiaraMarie2)
Dear Republican voter,
Whatever you do...think about this seriously!
Don't vote for the third party candidate, Mike Huckabee, and literally hand the Whitehouse to the Democrats like we did to Bill Clinton for two terms!!!
Vote Mitt Romney, the best candidate!!!

"I wonder if the other republican candidates much better." Check out Paul, he's pro States Rights, the way it should be.
That is totally ... ( 11 months ago by Shalafi3)
That is totally disgusting. Romney is "fighting for the sanctity of life," and yet has no problem with blowing up more and more Iraqis until we can "leave with honor." Iraqis never made any act of aggression toward the US. WE invaded Iraq. WE attacked them. WE need to leave first. And that's why I'm voting for Ron Paul.
Mitt Romney is, by ... ( 11 months ago by sndblstr)
Mitt Romney is, by far, the best candidate running. Huckabee is a wasted vote and McCain's liberal positions make him too much like Hillary. MITT IS THE MAN IN 2008!!
Dude you don't get ... ( 11 months ago by 33black)
Dude you don't get it. You say he is "fighting for the sanctity of life," and that is exacty what is going on in Iraq. The only difference is that you would wait until another mass lose of innocent life is taken on our soil rather than take it to the people on there own soil.
And for you "it's not Iraqs fault", people, that's a whole other topic.
Romney- Yes McCain-No
why do people who ... ( 11 months ago by ztubs6)
why do people who vote for Romney and Bush totally give them a free pass-did you see the debate from 1994 with Romney and Kennedy--If you watch it you would see that now he has a different stance.--does that matter at all to you? HELLOOOO_ANYONE IN THERE? If you care about those issues then use your vote wisely instead of giving it Romney who clearly just wants your vote and has no real convivtion. Why should he get a free pass and you trust him now? Dont be foolish-look at the facts. ron paul
I'm not giving Bush ... ( 11 months ago by 33black)
I'm not giving Bush a free pass, even he has strayed from the republican party on immigration, spending. I will vote for someone who has a chance to win not someone pretending to be a republican like Ron Paul. Until the libertarian party has a snowballs chance in hell, I will vote for the lesser evil and right now that to me is Romney.
Someone who ... ( 11 months ago by ztubs6)
Someone who pretends to be a republican is ron paul???I think you have your misconceptions wrong. Ron Paul is a real Republican. Just because he is not a freak neo-con doesnt mean he isnt a republican. He fits the definition.. Those others have completely changed what a real republican is. Have fun voting for the lesser of 2 evils. How could Ron Paul be so bad? Low taxes, less war, pro-civil rights and liberties-he cares more about you and your rights than you care about yourself-thats sad
Believe me tubs, if ... ( 11 months ago by 33black)
Believe me tubs, if I thought Ron Paul could get anywhere close to the votes that the Romney or McCain will get, I probably would give Paul a serious look.
I know its not what I should do ideally but, it's realistic.
Romney is a savvy ... ( 2 months ago by Oofloom)
Romney is a savvy pol, but his emotional deficit is his Achilles's heel. All an opponent has to do is portray him as an unfeeling robot and show clips of him acting and rabble-rousing.
I know some fiscal conservatives put their hopes in him, but it'll never happen. There are tapes out there of him in full-on demagogue mode. He lost his cool at the end of the campaign and sunk his chances for good.
