That probably is how fast the movie went, but most likely they put it in slow motion because it looks more natural.

K i know what Animation is all about, If they made a Movie that fast, They would have like 50 minutes of film...... and short for a lot more.... Then they would have to spend Thousands of Thousands of More Hours TO MODEL, RENDER, ANIMATE, AND MOTION CAPTURE/ RIGGING!

Actually this song (goes by many different names on the soundtrack, most common is Lux Aeterna) is an orchestrated version of the main theme of Requiem for a Dream that was used in the trailer for Lord of the Rings. It was composed by Clint Mansell but it's performed by the Kronos Quartet.
