Sunday In The Park With Cameron Frye and Ferris Bueller

Uploaded by: naturallogsquared
Video Description:
This is a scene from "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" where Cameron Frye (played brilliantly by Alan Ruck) is mesmerized by "A Sunday Afternoon On The Island Of La Grande Jatte" by Georges Seurat. I was inspired to post this clip after seeing "Sunday In The Park With George" by Stephen Sondhem and James Lapine.

The most beautiful scene in the whole movie. The closer you look at the child in the painting, the blurrier the picture actually gets. And as Cameron looks closer and closer at the child (and into himself), he realizes his own identity is just as blurry.

I had a teary moment like this at the MFA in Boston when I saw "Die Töchter Boit" (The Daughters of Edward Darley Boit) by John Singer Sargent, had only seen photos in books and the actual painting is very large and impressive. Those people from the past looking at us now...

Best scene in the movie but thats my opinion. I just love it because you dont see in most movies someone just thinking without saying a word just having dialog in their mind figuring out what kind of person they are and if they like who they are and what theyll do to change it. And the music just adds more depth

This scene is incredible. The perfect combination of poetry in motion. Everybody should have a point in there life when they just pause and think deep like how cameron was. If u just listen to the music alone that was being played u would find urself in deep thought.

This scene helped me to completely put my life into perspective, I had never once thought of just looking at a painting that inspires me so deeply inside and just take a moment to reflect on my life and try to find myself, figure out where my life is going and where the future will take me.
