Read somewhere that this was the "first" song that acknowledged the gay scene and the toll of AIDS. Dunno how true that is, but some of the lyrics would certainly fit: "I just got your message, baby/It's so sad to see you fade away." What do you guys think??

It was one of the first songs to acknowledged the gay scene and AIDS, but this was one of the best songs of the 80's. The British groups of the 80's were happening.

The name escapes me, especially as I only lived in Dallas that summer. I do remember it was quite a large club/disco (don't know why I said it was small), and known enough that my aunt knew about it. Lots of sofas and curtains... first time strangers offered me some sort of white powder... expensive drinks (I only had one). Ran into the band in the adjoining parking garage. Was downtown. Any idea? It was 1986/7

I was in college in Dallas at the time and those clubs were all downtown and extremely hip - it was probably the Stark... what a crazy f**king time.. BTW Grace Slick and Stevie Nicks were some of the owners of the Stark Club...
