lol I have to agree with ultravaccine Unityspirit50... meditation is not something that can be proved since it only works if you allow it too. It can be analyzed but it's not the same for all people. The point of meditation is too relax your mind and not think, if you sit there and try to debunk it with 'evidence' then you'll get your answer because it wont work for you. Meditation has a lot to do with spirituality and your subconscious. It relies on your on thoughts and beliefs.

I have a problem I find it hard to let go of thoughts an especially keeping me eyes closed.even when going to sleep I can't close them until I'm asleep is their any meditation i could do with my eyes open?

I am suprised that some people want to "prove" this "scientifically". It is all based on if you beleive it works, spirituality, and faith. If you sit there trying to wait for something to happen saying "I will prove this doesn't work" then your mind will say it doesn't work and will not suceed for you. But if you sit there calmy thinking "This will work and I am calm" your result will be positive.

I tried meditation for the first time the other day, and it was amazing :)
But during the meditative state it felt as if my soul was trying to leave my body, and I guess I didn't want that to happen so I would go back to a relaxed state...maybe I should just keep meditating? idk

ur posture should be comfortable.i have a back injury and im not very limber at all so i sit on my feet if im on the floor or i just sit in a confortable chair.if ur not confortable its not as easy to stay with ur breath and quiet ur thoughts.

the point is to stop thinking anything at all.its not bound to "spirituality" or "faith".those are concepts to be debated by the mind and they lead to too much questions.the experience of effective meditation is not meant to be interpreted really.its a process so simple it seems complex.children are typically very good at understanding the concept behind meditation if that explains anything.

i did it for the first time 2 days ago it made me feel like i was floting and i hade no wurrys at all when i came out of it my body felt happy like i hade alote of energy and i have arthritis in both my legs i was vary happy and i think im going to keep doing this video worked for me

Here one day i had a experience, I woke up. I don't really know if i was awake or not, I guess i was somewhere in the middle, i had no thoughts. And somehow i decided to travel out of my boddie, what I felt I managed to do somehow, It felt like I was going out of my boddy towards the sky's, like a vision where when you are dying and heading to heaven. I saw everything in a third person vision, and suddently i started to hear a voice in my head, I was scared.

Very scared, I tryed to open my eyes but couldn't get them up. The voice was frightning, But i couldn't open my eyes, I was trying to get back to my boddy cause, but I was gone far up in the sky's. I could see my boddy after around 20seconds, and when my spirit got back in it, i was able to open my eyes. I don't know if this has anything to do with Meditation but i didn't know where to ask about it, I appreciate any answers alot. thanks for reading

Sounds like you fell asleep during meditating. If you relax or meditate for a while and don't move, your body will think your brain has fallen asleep, so it begins sleep paralysis. The paralysis always happens to everyone during REM sleep, when we usually don't notice it. What you did is you drifted into a dream while you were still conscious.
This is actually a technique that many lucid dreamers do on purpose. It's called WILD, or a Wake Induced Lucid Dream. Then you can control your dreams.

whoa... i looked at the clock b4 i did this (11:09) then i came out of the state and it was 11:06 on the same clock... and i felt totally relaxed... time reset 3 minutes? (it was digital so i didnt misread it)

so if i lean back on a wall something, and sit indian style (cuz my felxibility is weird) will it still work for me?
