They got plenty recognition in mid-atlantic states, but they were not a pop band, so you don't get the airplay, it's all parties and private homes, and hippie stations.

Absolutely my favorite Tull song, with a totally original and intriguing introduction and great piano riffs leading into the hard rock melody...wow...that's just a terrific union of piano, guitar, etc...the pounding lead in and powerful lyrics match the infernal lyrics and driving beat...and oh what a great flute Ian plays! A truly innovative, cutting-edge song that should be an inspiration to any musical group today!!!

Yeah, the thing about that album is that, it is only for the open minded, who can love music, for what it truely is, i've come into contact vith Tull fans that despise A Passion Play, I only think that havent opened their mind's to a more detailed and sophisticated style of music.

i was sorta like that when i was younger, and i do mean younger 10 or 11. which was when i first got exposed to jethro tull. the first think i thought was wtf plays flute with a rock band. but after hearing them several times after that, thanks to my brother, i grew to become opened minded.

A lot of people cant handle Tull. They think the music is too "heavy". I guess it takes them to places they havent been to before, Tull takes them out of their comfort zones.
I love em.

That's my absolute favorite album/song by Jethro Tull... it sends chills down, specially the movement AFTER "The Hare who lost his Spectacles" You know it opens with "WE sleep by the ever bright hole in the door." That one is the best ever I swear, and when it switches over to the next movement man; that will just put you into a cold sweat.

Spiral, you've got to be my twin. it does the same thing to me. This song got me pumped for a fight or a football game when i wa young. oh littlepwing, how 'bout that dissonance, huh?!! Tull fans must be reincarnated Aztec poet/warriors...i guess.
