ahhh the thing about iraw is that it wasn't about "Freedom", hell if the U.S was concerned about that, they would have given support to darfour years ago. The U.S is in there becuase They were afraid Saddam was going to start selling his much needed oil to European and Aisian countrys than the U.S. THe world is Runn by the economy, politics is the result. However I do agree we need to stay long enough to give the iraqi gov't that much. Obama will give that much maybe. But hillary wont leave

I agree here , Obama needs to get more specific if he wants to keep the momentum on his campaign, he has plenty of charisma (which hillary needs), but lacks the specifics which Clinton can tote.

THe irony of your views, which are legit by the way, is that Bill Clinton was practically in the same position as Obama when he ran for president in 1992; inexperienced, charismatic, and full of ambition. I liked Bill's presidency , despite his unscrupulous mojo, and now I find it kind of funny that his wife is running against a guy very similiar to how he was. Lincoln, by the way, was allso a young "inexperienced" illinois laywer, just for convo
I couldn't disagree ...( 8 months ago by logician008)
I couldn't disagree more, Obama never putts focus on his race and how it corrallates to the country, also I feel that Hillary is hated by to many independents and republicans to sway anyone but the stollid democrats. Obama I think has the charisma needed to achieve this. CLinton has to much baggage and I utterly detest the presidential dyanasty (Bush , clinton , bush clinton) thats shaping up

Honestly, I dont like either healthcare plan. I think there should be middle ground on this w/out penalizing anyone. As for campaign funds, what about public financing? Didnt he say once that he would run for office using only "public financing"? Now he is beginning to change his mind. As for Bill he was different to Obama. He would stop and talk to people at a local McDonalds while out on his morning jog. I havent seen that w/Obama.
Charisma is not a ...( 8 months ago by singinshower)
Charisma is not a requirement for me for president. I want more. Now one of Obama's advisers is said to have met w/Canada saying that Obama was only posturing on NAFTA and no intention of changing it. If that is true then he is two faced and a liar. Clinton replaced her campaign manager that was not doing her job. Obama at the last primary still had this person on as an adviser. What am I supposed to think about that?
2.) He's changing ...( 8 months ago by singinshower)
2.) He's changing his mind on public financing and now this w/NAFTA. What else has he lied about that we just dont know?

wow, give me a break with all the crap cintons pulled? its hard to attack obama considering all the baggage hillary has
wow that was a weak ...( 8 months ago by logician008)
wow that was a weak arguement , "obama doesn't stop to talk to people at the local Mcdonalds" , how the hell do you know? its not like you read htat sort of stuff on CNN, OBAMA TALKS TO MAN AT MCDONALDS , and if you were getting that sort of news coverage of Bill, i would find it even more dispicable to publicise that. Also I find it discusting how Hillary has attacked Obama over ridulous issue "shame on Obama" for trying to "undermine" her, give me a break! Hillary will stoop to anything
THis seems more ...( 8 months ago by logician008)
THis seems more like a gut feeling than an actual reason to dislike Obama....like most of your one sided arguements
Im not attacking ...( 8 months ago by singinshower)
Im not attacking Obama. Im telling the truth. He preaches about change, bringing integrity back to the office of the president, and how he is out to help the people. Then his actions say something completely different. That is what con men do. You hear what you want to hear instead of what they say.
Its very well known ...( 8 months ago by singinshower)
Its very well known that the secret service had trouble w/Bill Clinton. He went jogging which he always does and stopped by a McDonalds for some coffee and to talk to the local people. The media were around him all the time as they are w/Hillary and Obama now. He was running for president. He was a news story every time he stepped out the door. He was a good ol'Southern boy who liked to meet people. Nothing wrong w/be friendly and nice and not thinking youre above someone else.
Plus you brought it ...( 8 months ago by singinshower)
Plus you brought it up when you brought up Bill Clinton and his campaign for president and comparing Obama to him. As for Clinton, she was blamed for a picture of him being publicized w/him wearing an African garb(I think) given to him from a visiting dignitary. There was no proof it was her but that was the conclusion some jumped to. What was he so ashamed of? Politicians are given things from visiting dignitaries all the time. Why the fuss? So give me a break!
One sided?! What ...( 8 months ago by singinshower)
One sided?! What about yours?! Have you taken the time to actually listen to what Obama says or do you only hear what you want?! Ive told you that I dont dislike him. I dont trust him and I dont think he will make a good president. Simple as that. Why dont you say why you hate Hillary? B/c her husband was president?! Judge her on her merits. Why Obama and not Hillary?! What are your reasons?!

Her experience has taught her to play politics like George Bush & say anything about your opponent to win. What other ques will she take from Bush if she is president?

singinshower, it's come out that chief officials higher up in Canada are saying Hillary's camp said "don't worry about it, it's political talk", which makes sense since her husband championed NAFTA, and they have footage of her in 1996 saying she liked NAFTA. Then in this debate she says she's been opposed to NAFTA from the start?! What else has she lied about?
She said that NAFTA ...( 8 months ago by singinshower)
She said that NAFTA had helped portions of the US but others it has devastated. She said that it needed to be modified so as not to cause the loss of jobs. There is a poster on this site that cited some areas where NAFTA has truly helped. There are those places such as Ohio where it hasnt. Funny thing is that those that were close to Bill when he was president said that she never agreed w/NAFTA and told him it was a bad idea. One said that she had that she had to try to support it due to Bill.
She was his wife ...( 8 months ago by singinshower)
She was his wife and it would not have looked good for her to stand against him. He said that she didnt like it from the start. It is one of the panelists on CNN when they do the election coverage. I suppose he would know better than anyone. Wouldnt he?! Considering he was there at the time.
Remember when Bush ...( 8 months ago by singinshower)
Remember when Bush run for president father and son and all the promises they made. They have not lived up to any of them. "Read my lips no more taxes." "Better economy." What about Obama. What promises will he not keep also just like Bush and Bush. The sweet talker w/all the charisma he is.
The politics of ...( 8 months ago by ctadman212)
The politics of hope is definitely not for pessimists. I dont think hes given reasons not to trust him. I understand his message to be that he will bring people together & try to avoid the bickering so things can get accomplished. Hillary seems to be about more bickering & saying my way or the highway. Candidates campaign so that we can see what kind of leader they will be & I dont want Clinton running the country the way she's running this campaign
Hope is there w/ ...( 8 months ago by singinshower)
Hope is there w/each campaign. Campaigns are about trained politicans standing on a platform and making as many promises as possible to get your vote. Many they dont intend to keep as we have seen by Bush. It does not show their leardership ablities b/c they are not put in that type of situation. All you can do is base your vote on who do you trust. Who do you think is better for and more able to handle the job of being president. Not a lot of fancy words but the grit of it.
Who can make the ...( 8 months ago by singinshower)
Who can make the tough decisions and stand by them. We dont need someone to hold hands. We need someone to take control. The war in Iraq is getting out of control. There has to be a resolution to it but not one that means we give up and turn tail and run. Too many have died over there for an ideal of "freedom." We can not allow those deaths to be in vain. How to end it? The next president must decide that and be willing to make a hard decision and live w/it like Truman did.
Im not saying drop ...( 8 months ago by singinshower)
Im not saying drop a bomb but he was willing to do what it took to end the war and save his soldiers. Someone who can make sure that our enemies know that we are stronger than ever and will not be a victim any longer like w/911. We need one that can fix this economy stop foreclosures, stop job loss, stop interest rates from becoming astronomical, stop these high fuel bills both gas, electric, natural gas. Someone who can fix healthcare to where everyone can get it but w/out penalties.
