to reply to the commenter asking whether it is a voodoo strat..i read somewhere that john mayer has a fender promo guitar that was built in the eighties, only a couple made, that looks very much like the more modern voodoo strat. this may well be it, the colour looks about right for the guitar i saw listed. look up on google for jimi hendrix strats and i think you'll find the info there. im sure someone will tell me im wrong, as is the way with youtube! but thats the lil detail i remember.

man that terrible, Jimi would tear him up. I agree with treadsoftly14 and damlie83. he tries to make it look like he's putting emotion into the song but it just looks like he's getting it in the ass. Jimi pretty much made the guitar a part of him.
