| Well u think they would go sideways if they had enought grip to take a turn on gravel in 200 km/h... well? nope... and if sideways was faster f1 cars would go sideways right? and nascar would be one big fucking circle of drift right? AND, if ur wheels spin u will never have the same speed as if the had grip.... |

| then why do rally drivers prefer to keep there rpms up and not slow down and use the available grip in the gravel to race, According to you there is no reason, all you said is it doesn't work in f1, in f1 the cars are setup such that it provides the highest grip, because of this if they slide at all there cars suddenly become impossible to control, snap oversteer so again WHY do rally drivers slide in corners and not understeer through them |

| because wizard rally cars go on dirt and makes it harder to grip so they hace to drift where f1 are on tare which is gripper so they dont drift |

| Rally Cars go way too fast compared to the rated speed a normal car would go around that bend on a dirt road. For this reason, if they didnt drift, their traction would break and either slide off the road to the left or the right if they spin out. |

| by drifting they dont have to slow down as much before the turn, instead, force to break their own traction intentionally in a controlled slide. then the angle in which they come out of the turn reduces inertia allowing them to be facing the proper way and already accelerating in a straight-ish line... Thats the best way i can describe this at 8am lol |

| In cars that are not uber light and have insane traction, tight corners often can be drove through faster drifting. F1 cars and all other race built cars have the traction required and a lite enough weight to take corners uber fast with no slide involved. It is also because race cars are designed with large amounts of downforce and only race on high traction courses. So it all depends on ur car and the conditions that determine the best way too drive. |
