As much as you love your prophet, we love our freedoms that our grandfathers and fathers fought and died for. Freedom of the press is one of the most important of all of our freedoms. It was once said "I may not believe in what you are saying, but I will defend to the death your right to say it." This is what you are not understanding about the cartoons.
If I had my way, every newspaper in the world would publish these cartoons, every week, forever and ever. God save our press!!!!!!!!

Freedom is good, but people who use it to, in this case, laugh at something which another group finds totally offensive is just wrong. After reading my comments, you people don't show the slightest sympathy towards Muslims, just because you want to protect your freedom instead. Selfishness best describes that, am I wrong? You're using your freedom to isolate and attack another group. What abut OUR freedom then? Pick up the Qur'an, talk to a Muslim scholar, read an Islamic textbook, or the best of all: find out what the Prophet would do in this situation. They will all point to some sort of peaceful solution. The Prophet would either ignore it or settle it with peaceful negotiations. The Prophet was sent down to be an example of the perfect Muslim. If we don't live according to the laws of Islam, we cannot call ourselves Muslims. Simple as that.
