That would be the fall of the whip. The cracker is much smaller than the fall.

I think you are right! The fall on my whip is about two ft long, but the cracker is only about 6 inches.

does your whip need to be 10 feet long i have a bullwhip & i have wanted to learn this crack for a while but each time i try it i mess up so you twist the whip above your head & once your arm is bent you quickly move it the oppisite way? i want to make sure i understand this before i attempt it

Thanks man! You helped me unravel a mystery that was leaving me bruised in the solving. (Plus you just know someone at the Halloween party is gonna want to see a guy dressed as Indy able to use the whip he's toting. Now I can.)

Nice videos! I've been practicing the Cattleman's crack for a while now and I can do it perfectly almost every time. I got to show it off at our Church's Halloween party.
Now I'm going to try and learn this crack as well as many others for next years party. Thanks for the help!
