There have been many russian space accidents, but the russian ejection (egress) systems are usually very good. I'll give them credit for that. Shuttle had no egress system unfortunately

the first minute or so of this video dipicts what is known as the Nedelin (probably didnt spell it right) disaster, where this rocket launch was supose to be another milestone for the soviets but the rocket did not ignite and when top rocket engineers and scientists aproched the rocket it suddenly exploded killing russias top scientists and engineers and setting the soviet union back in the space race...

people should have more respect for astronauts who have lost their lives, I see lots of bullshit written by stupid people who think to be American patriots. Think about the pain of astronauts relatives before pull russian's legs for they're rockets.
