Poll after poll in the US shows that the majority of Americans are in favor of having a single-payer government sponsored health care system, just as they have in every other industrialized country in the world. Leaders in both major political parties are opposed to this, including both major party former presidential candidates McCain and Obama. Nader and McKinney support the wishes of the majority of Americans. If we had a functioning democracy, Obama would support this too, but he does not..
