you plan to be a director, great, i got a real script for you, "shawshank redemption 2"
basic overview, norton had some powerful people he knew and they were pissed that he died, they hired an ex fbi agent and he found andy via red skipping parole...
both are brought back to the states, andy is retried and found not guilty , red is sent back for parole violation, andy then decides to commit a crime and goes back to prison, to rejoin red out of friendship
it ends as it began !

Although Platoon is not as good as this movie, it's ending is almost as powerfull and good as this one. But Shawshank is one of the best movies i have ever seen, wihtout a doubt.

yes it does, along with the use of hope i think what makes these sentences so emotional is that instead of "i hope to see my friend" the addition of "shake his hand" makes it more sentimental and personal. its the same with "i hope the pacific is blue"

When that hat of his just blows off his head it show's that he couldn't care less but of nothing else then to meet his friend. The best ending to a great movie morgan freemans voice just creates this great feeling in it.

Why doesn't anyone talk about Thomas Newman's score for this movie? It makes the movie even MORE emotional. Everytime the music plays when Red reads Andy's letter I start crying. And I cry even more when they reunite and when the credits start rolling and music gets grander.
