It's the whole english accent on a half black guy and the way he dances in most of his videos and how he dresses makes him seem gay. He get's asked to dance like that by the director , How he dresses, he has stylist's dressing him. If you see on google, he dress'es completely differently to normal day life than on the video's for his rock n roll look.

David is a total legend, I couldn't care less if he was gay or not. He has a great voice and is an amazing singer, thats all that matters to me.
