Pssh, It just depends upon the person! doesn't matter what race you are, here in Florida there are probably just as many dumb white hicks who have absolutely no clue as there are blacks or hispanics or whatever. Now, I do have to say, after watching mos def on real time with Bill Maher, it made me realize that not only he but most blacks I am friends with are a lot more skeptical about things, including politics. So many Americans are oblivious to the political climate, and many are idiots to boot. Apathy has already set in in many respects, and of course, the idiocy is still there. Where people stand is in the eyes of the beholder. Ignorance is strength.... Race has nothing to do with it. It was meant to be and was planned by the powers that be from the get-go. All you can do is your best.

On March 11, 2005, Brian Nichols (negro), who was on trial for rape, went on a murderous rampage at an Atlanta courthouse, shooting a judge, a court reporter, and a deputy. After his arrest, he explained that he was a soldier on a mission against a racially biased legal system. In jail awaiting his rape trial, he had been angry to find so many other black inmates, and he wondered how many were innocent. For him, the large number of blacks meant the legal system was systematic slavery.

I think that most blacks are afraid of Republicans and anyone else who opposes social programs which were supposedly designed to help so-called minorities. What more disadvantaged persons need are not social programs, but the opportunity to create businesses. I think that there are too many 'hustlers' like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton who like to play this card. If they and other black leaders were smart, they'd lobby for less red-tape so that their communities could be economically vibrant.

I admire your perspectives. It is a good thing that you are so interested in your community. I myself got involved with libertarian politics about sixteen years ago as I was completely displeased with the direction that the country was taking. The longer my involvement, the more I realized that government seemed to be more the problem than the solution and that the less they do, the better off we all are.
