Thanks for the quick summary, watchman2008! Excellent video. Good job, Ron Paul!
After watching this ... ( 1 year ago by hunnybfly)
After watching this debate, I realized the only thing Ron Paul and I agree on is about our foreign policy in the Middle East. I'm grateful I got to see this because it made me realize that he is not someone I can vote for as President.

Paul gets a question on healthcare. :~)

YEa, big bummer... enjoy your New World Order. I hope you like your National ID cards, and you must really enjoy paying taxes and look forward to living in a complete Police State. Ron Paul, is our only hope. He is the only one who makes sense.

Go Ron Paul!! I like how he emphasized on equality for EVERYONE, not just blacks and Hispanics. I'm tired of this reverse-racism. My daughter was in a school for two years where she was the minority - everyone else was hispanic - she had to attend spanish classes where everyone already knew the language, except her. I'm tired of people thinking they deserve more or jump to an incorrect conclusion that the world is against them because of the color of their skin.

Since most of what he believes benefits everyone, you must be aplant from another campaign or just have an extremely low IQ.
Yes, because not ... ( 1 year ago by hunnybfly)
Yes, because not agreeing with a candidate MUST mean that I am "aplant" or have an extremely low IQ as you put it.
And to filmmakersronin, libertarianism can promote just as much of a police state as other political ideologies. Unfortunately, the ideas Dr. Paul may have, which philosophically I agree with, are too impractical in reality.
If you agree with ... ( 1 year ago by imsok2u)
If you agree with him philosophically why did you state the only thing you agree with him on is the Middle East, express yourself more clearly. His ideas are basic and doable. Hopefully most people won't give in and give up like you seem to be ready to do.
To clarify, the ... ( 1 year ago by hunnybfly)
To clarify, the only thing that I agree with him on a PRACTICAL level is his position on our role in Middle East politics. I can also throwback the question to you and ask you what you mean by the broad assertion that "most of what he believes in benefits everyone."
up?"
Array ( 1 year ago by hunnybfly)
*nix the "up?"
Also, I don't appreciate the suggestion that people who don't support him are "giving up." This is not a popularity contest nor is it an opportunity to flaunt superiority complexes. I'd like to be fully informed about candidates before I invest in the electoral process. I would hope all Americans do the same.
Let's see, no more ... ( 1 year ago by imsok2u)
Let's see, no more IRS collecting for the Federal Reserve which isn't federal or a reserve, stop our empire building and bring the troops home, saving billions a year for other things like health care. Close the borders, stop corporate welfare. Stop backing a useless self centered non-ally that is trying to illegally annex land that's not theirs....Israel....Remember the U.S.S. Liberty... and try to find something that doesn't benefit the whole in his issues section...
By giving in to the ... ( 1 year ago by imsok2u)
By giving in to the "status quo" and not trying to change things you are giving in. The toptier is so similar they're hard to tell apart. It's more of the same phony "tell em wht they want to hear" garbage...stick to the sound bites. Conduct polls before speaking....(Hillary) ROn Paul is the only one with new ideas. The current course has to be dramatically changed or this country won't last. It will be extremely clear when they try a North American Union, and we answer to other gov'ts......
Once again, 2 of ... ( 1 year ago by hunnybfly)
Once again, 2 of the 4 things you mention (empire building and Israel) are issues I agree with.
Two-thirds of Americans are in favor of universal health care, with a majority willing to pay higher taxes to reach that goal. Ron Paul wants to limit the role of gov't, fine, but you cannot eliminate the IRS, the Reserve and Income taxes and expect to achieve universal coverage. He argues that people ought to have choice - well the reality is, many people don't even have a choice to make a choice.
If you think that ... ( 1 year ago by hunnybfly)
If you think that RP is this messianic revolutionary that will bring DRAMATIC changes to the course of our gov't, you must be disillusioned. As this administration has frequently forgotten, there are other branches of gov't that will likely place a stop on even incremental changes. That's the whole point of our gov't - its a slow, tedious and deliberative process.
Most of the money ... ( 1 year ago by imsok2u)
Most of the money the IRS collects is used to pay off the debt we're in to the fed. We'll have billions more from not being the world's police and with a national sales tax, illegal money finally gets taxed too. Drug dealers and other felons buy things too, but don't fill out a W2. It's all about redirecting $ where we need it.

I really hope you change your mind. I agree with Ron Paul that the federal government is only designed to handle a few domestic affairs, but mostly foreign affairs. And the rest the states decide. There I diverge from him because I want a socialized state, just not a socialized nation.
Ron Paul will not ... ( 1 year ago by Pearljamkicksass)
Ron Paul will not interfere with what the states do. Diversity would flourish with each state would have its own laws, it would be nice to be able to move to a state that more represents my personal beliefs.
